'Cocoon of Delirium' Shortfilm - Producer

The film explores the paradox of self-imprisonment and liberation, embodied in the twisted emotional bond between two girls. Through minimal dialogue, reality and dreams blur, creating a rich exploration of the Buddhist concepts of dependent origination and emptiness. The film invites the viewer to reflect on how attachment to the self can both confine and liberate.

Inspired by the Zen koan, “Master Sengcan’s Question,” where Monk Daoxin sought liberation and the Third Patriarch, Sengcan, asked, “Who binds you?”. Daoxin realised that bondage is born from the mind’s delusions. This profound insight forms the core of the narrative.
